Management Team

While the name Digital Printing Media (DPM) may be new to you, DPM is managed by a team with over 60 combined years of experience in the printer supplies business and is in partnership with Korim Ltd., an ISO Certified coating facility with over 30 years thin film coating experience. Manufacturing operations are located in the United States, Korea, and China.

Derek West

Derek West is the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Digital Printing Media. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Marketing, Derek joined the NCR Corporation's Media Product Division. He began as a sale representative, held various sales/product management assignments and was promoted to Regional Sales Vice President. Later, Derek joined SKC as National Sales & Marketing Manager, and in conjunction with Jin Kim, introduced SKC's thermal transfer ribbon program into North America with the opening of a manufacturing operation primarily targeted towards printer OEM's and distributors. This successful business was later acquired by ITW. In 2000, Derek took the opportunity to join Union Chemicar America and was responsible for significant increases in thermal transfer ribbon sales in North and South America and was promoted to Executive Vice-President of the US operation. In his current role at DPM, Derek now oversees the growth and development of the thermal transfer ribbon product line, primarily focusing on OEM's and Master Distributors.

Derek enjoys playing competitive tennis, hunting, offshore fishing, and spending time with his two children.
